The Mind Electric is a software infrastructure vendor whose mission is to fundamentally simplify the creation, deployment and management of distributed applications.
Our name reflects the parallels between the world of distributed computing, the development of a mind, and the evolution of society.
GLUE™ supports the early stage of web services adoption by enabling Java developers to rapidly build applications using web services, servlets and JSPs. GLUE can be used standalone or within any J2EE container, minimizing the incremental expense for enterprises already using application servers.
GAIA™ supports the later stage of web services adoption by allowing systems to be assembled from a heterogenous collection of web services. Operating much like an electricity grid, GAIA provides features like service discovery, clustering, load balancing and fail over to all web services, regardless of their hosting platform.
The Mind Electric created Electric XML™ as part of its GLUE platform for distributed computing. Electric XML is a simple, fast and comprehensive Java toolkit for parsing and manipulating XML documents.
