Baltimore Technologies (London:BLM) recently announced general availability of KeyTools XML 5.1 for handling digital signatures within XML documents and messages. The W3C XML Digital Signature specification, for which Baltimore acted as the de facto reference implementation, is one of the cornerstones of security in the emerging Web services environment to provide assurance over the source and integrity of data.
XML.dsig is designed to assist you in securing Web services environment. XML.dsig provides the benefits such as enabling the deployment of standards-based XML document security, unique and irrefutable digital signatures can be applied to either part of or whole XML documents, and digital signing and verification of XML documents according to the W3C recommendation.
Baltimore SelectAccess 5.0 is the first commercially available implementation of SAML, an XML standard for exchanging authentication and authorization information between online business partners, regardless of the authorization products used. Users can move between affiliated sites with a single sign-on, while their user information is sent transparently between partner sites.
