SAN JOSE, Calif.—May 22, 2003—BEA Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS), the world’s leading application infrastructure software company, today announced that Adam Bosworth, chief architect and senior vice president of advanced development, is scheduled to deliver his insights into the future of Web services at the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Management of Data (ACM SIGMOD) /PODS 2003 Conference in San Diego, Calif. on June 10, 2003.
Kicking off the first industrial session of the conference, Bosworth, widely recognized as a pioneer and key figure in the evolution of XML, will discuss the critical changes that need to take place over the next three years for Web services to live up to its full potential, including how Web services can lead to a pervasive change from pull to push computing and the specific challenges that are already being placed on traditional databases by Web services.
