HP Web Services Platform, Developer Edition

Previous ItemPrevious NextNext Item
Product:  HP Web Services Platform, Developer Edition

The next generation of e-Speak.
Category:  XML Web Services
Details:  HP Web Services Platform is a software infrastructure for developing and deploying loosely coupled Web services. These can be any mixture of internal and external services and may include applications, business processes, computing resources, or information stores. With extreme flexibility, the platform - which carries forward the best concepts from HP's e-Speak technology - can help users to complete tasks, solve problems, or perform transactions. The platform is standards compliant, making it broadly accessible. Companies can also create secure private ecosystems to serve a more controlled community, such as a supply chain, using the HP Web Services Registry.

The HP Web Services Platform, Developer Edition provides support for key Web services standards such as WSDL, SOAP, UDDI, and XML. By adopting these key standards, HP enables you to more easily interoperate with disparate environments such as Microsoft's .NET.

HP Web Services Platform provides a single architecture for creating and deploying Web services, as well as for publishing and discovering of services in public and private registries. It provides a consistent approach for creating Web services from existing Java classes, EJBs and Cocoon applications. HP's goal is to provide a plug-and-play platform that enables interoperability across a range of messaging profiles, from RNIF to Biztalk and ebXML.

Service interfaces published in a registry are programmatically discoverable and loosely coupled, making it easy for developers to locate and start using them immediately. This robust and modular Web services infrastructure runs on top of the J2EE-compliant HP Bluestone application server and provides interoperability with Microsoft .NET environments.
