Lotus Web Services Enablement Kit is a blueprint (including demo, samples, and source code) for enhancing Lotus® products with Web services, thereby enabling collaboration between applications. The term Web services refers to a standards-based architecture that allows automatic integration between systems, making dynamic e-business and collaborative services possible. Lotus has built-in support for Web standards such as XML, HTTP, and Java, as well as the rich APIs that are published for Lotus products.
Lotus Web Services Enablement Kit includes documented sample Web services for the following Lotus server products: Domino, Sametime, Knowledge Discovery System, LearningSpace, and Domino Workflow, and DB2/Domino integration via Web services in the Lotus Enterprise Integrator. In addition, the Kit includes instructions for allowing custom Web services applications on Lotus platforms to function also as Web services consumers. |
